Information Age Technology

This is an interactive CD-ROM that provides an overview of basic information
technology infrastructures from the government's perspective. Elements of
information transportation, such as speed, throughput, security, costs, and
distance are considered. The hardware and resources used to support these
information infrastructures, with an emphasis on communication devises used to
access, process, and transmit information across telecommunications systems are
highlighted. There is a module on transportation modes for information flow via
LANs, WANs, etc. Tools for managing network resources are also discussed.
Examples of real life analogies (or as close as the government can get) are
given throughout the presentation.
