Presenters will consist of BRMA members who are professionals in
the industry. BRMA is Northern California’s largest business recovery
association. The majority of the members are located in the larger San Francisco
Bay Area. A special committee is dedicated for this effort.

preparedness

symposium or conference

Why: To bring education about Business
Continuity to the
community level
Few higher educational institutions around the
country today offer programs in Business Continuity (Emergency or Crisis Management,
Business Recovery, Disaster Recovery). One of BRMA’s missions is to promote
awareness and development of this young industry and share how recent major
business interruptions such as
power outages, technological disruptions
and, more than ever today,
natural disasters and
terrorism, has and is affecting operations of
public and private industries – how this can impact operations,
finances, reputation, etc. We will share what we see and face in our
line of work and provide audience participants the opportunity to learn more about the
industry from professionals on the frontline.

BRMA is Northern California’s largest business recovery
association whose members comprise of professionals responsible for contingency
planning for business and/or information technology/systems recovery in their
company. Members are also BCM vendors, educators, and consultants.
