Membership

Membership is open to individuals interested in the fields of business recovery, disaster recovery and emergency management.

Each member receives an individual membership with full voting rights. Members of BRMA strive to:

bulletContribute to the advancement of business recovery planning, disaster recovery planning and emergency management.
bulletParticipate as a unifying force in defining and leading the rapidly evolving industry.
bulletIdentify areas for cooperation and methods of interface between sector businesses and public sector organizations.

Each member must sign and agree to abide by BRMA’s Code of Ethics. The Code of Ethics prevents members from using their membership for the purpose of selling services and products.

The membership represents large companies, small businesses, and public sector agencies.

Membership Application

To renew or become a new member of BRMA:
bulletPrint the application
bulletComplete and sign the application
bulletSend the completed application (with payment if you choose to pay with a personal check, corporate check, money order or cash) to the address on the application.
bulletIf you wish to pay using your credit card or P-Card, please access PayPal to complete the payment portion of your transaction.

Dues

BRMA membership dues are $110 for the calendar year. Dues are discounted for those who join after April. For membership or dues information, send email to the or leave a message on the BRMA Hotline at (925) 355-8660. If you are paying through PayPal, you will be assessed dues at the prorated amount (new or renew: don't forget to print, complete, sign and send the application). Memberships are valid January 1 through December 31 of the current calendar year.

Code of Ethics

All members of the Business Recovery Managers Association and their guests in conjunction or connection with any BRMA activity, shall:

bulletAbide by the code of ethics, bylaws, and policies of the organization.
bulletConduct themselves in a professional manner.
bulletRegister at all BRMA meetings and activities.
bulletNot engage in sales activities or solicitation.
bulletNot conduct any other activity contrary to the mission and objectives of BRMA.
bulletNot distribute any materials or post displays of any kind at BRMA activities without the prior approval from the Board of Directors.
bulletUse the membership mailing list only for contacting other members to discuss business continuity planning and official BRMA business. The membership list may not be used for sales or solicitation purposes.
bulletNot use the BRMA name other than in the conduct of BRMA business, as determined by the bylaws and/or the Board of Directors.
