Generally, BRMA meetings are held:

bulletOn the last Thursday of the month.
bulletFrom 1:00 pm until 3:30 pm.
bulletIn the Bay Area primarily San Francisco, Oakland, and Contra Costa County usually close to a BART station.  Other locations where meetings have been held are:  San Jose, Foster City, Sacramento, and Marin County.

Except

bulletThe March, June and September meetings are all day meetings (usually from 10:00 am until 3:30 pm).
bulletIf the spring DRJ meeting occurs during the last week of March, the March all day meeting will moved to February.
bulletThe November/December meeting is our Annual Meeting which consists of a formal luncheon.

Meeting Format

We have a guest speaker at nearly every meeting. The topics vary, but BRMA attempts to match the suggestions of the members (from survey questionnaires distributed at each meeting) with the topics covered.

Meetings include time set aside to discuss specific real world situations that our members are facing. Show & Tell is a popular feature in which members describe some recent incident or disaster they experienced. Few months get by without someone having a story to tell of a disruption or a serious threat of a disruption.

February/March and June meetings are all day affairs allowing us to examine a subject in greater detail, to cover multiple subjects, or to go on a field trip. These meetings are for members only (unless otherwise advertised).

The September all day meeting features either a Vendor Faire or Symposium where members who are vendors of recovery products or services present their wares or a topic is examined in depth. Guests are allowed at this meeting (for a fee).

The November/December meeting or Annual Meeting is for members only.

Guests

Guests are welcome one time to the half-day meetings for no cost.   However, full day meetings, seminars, and the Annual Meeting are for members only (unless otherwise advertised).

If you find your guest experience with us valuable, we suggest that you become a member since we cannot extend the guest privilege to any individual more than once.
